Michael P. McDonald is an Associate at Jarve Granato Starr, LLC, where he focuses his practice on personal injury matters, including automobile accidents, premises liability, and other insurance-related disputes. Michael is committed to helping clients navigate challenging and often overwhelming situations with clarity, confidence, and effective legal representation.
Before joining the firm, Michael practiced at a regional insurance defense firm, where he handled complex litigation matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, construction site accidents, and insurance coverage disputes. His experience on the defense side gives him a unique advantage in fighting for his clients and securing the compensation they deserve.
Michael previously served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Anne E. Hartnett and the Honorable Kathleen K. Amalfitano in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas, where he drafted legal opinions and research memoranda in civil, criminal, and administrative cases. He also gained valuable experience through clerkships and internships with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and Legal Services of Oklahoma, working on matters involving product liability, landlord-tenant disputes, consumer protection, and family law.
Michael earned his J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law, where he earned a Certificate in Civil Litigation and was a member of the National Mock Trial Team and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. He received his B.S. in History from the University of Scranton, where he also played Division III varsity baseball.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the New Jersey Association for Justice, and the Camden County Bar Association.
When he is not practicing law, Mike enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Yankees, and relaxing with family.
